Today we tasted what seemed like dozens of Albariños. Some were barrel samples while others were bottled. Some went through malolactic fermentation, most did not, one was a blend of wines that did and did not go through malo. Some were single vineyard or single estate grapes. Most were young but some had age. The 2002 Albariño from Pazo de Señorans had a nose and taste that reminded me of vintage Champagne.
